Default Floaters experience Forum

It seems once the builders became floaters, they stopped writing. Can we have a floaters experience forum?

Also I am exploring the idea of writing a book on folating. Would anyone be interested in sharing any history they found on floating in their research and would be willing to share any personal experiences. I would of course only use what I have permission for so as not to interfer with discusion here.

Any ides?

I think that most people are probably pretty busy, this isn't really a high traffic subject/site to begin with...or maybe they've dissapearred through the hole to alternate universes inside the float tank that EJ Gold alludes to in "Tanks for the Memories".

Interesting concept, don't know actually how many people on here have float tanks, or would be willing/have time to share regularly, I will be putting my experiences (after my tank is built in the next month and a half) on my web site.

Floating for each person is a unique experience..yours will be different than mine from the other guy. While getting these out into the open would be interesting, it might also color people's perceptions who haven't tried it yet.

Have you folated before?

So maybe a little background would help.

What type of philosophical background do you have? Religious? What led you to want to build a tank? Had you used a tank before, you actually started building one?

Thanks, Jeff

Sorry for the delay. I have not quite
finished the tank yet, so I have not
had a lot to say. My wife and I are in the process of moving, so the tank is on hold fore a few more weeks.

I am interested in this "experiences" forum.

I am looking forward to hearing from y'all.

Antonio...
The CD cover looks good.
I purchased it!
The i-escrow thing was kinda strange but
I understand the try-before-you-buy
idea.

I am really looking forward to
floating sometime in July.

Jeff asked:

>> What type of philosophical background do you have?

Nothing in particular. Christian upbringing, but athiest at this point. It just never "worked" for me.
Also... It took a while to recover from reading Ayn Rand and B.F. Skinner. :^)

>> Religious?

Spiritual would be a good description, but I don't carry crystals in my pocket. My basic belief structure is currently pretty-much buddhist.

I have read lots of Joseph Campbell.
If you are not familiar with his work it is worth looking up. I think he had a good understanding of the relationship between "God" and "Religion".

>> What led you to want to build a tank?

Can't get any LSD... no connection. :^(
...
Relaxzation has become very important after a few years working in the Internet space. I am almost 40 and not looking forward to having a stress relate heart-attack.

Also, my wife and I SCUBA dive and I find that diving at night has a profound spiritual feeling. I would like to feel that more often than I can get to an ocean. I think the tank will help me get there.

>> Had you used a tank before you actually started building one?

No, but I just like to build things and it looked like a fun project with a great pay-off at the end.

Jonb,

You can use Joseph Campbell and advance his data if you enter into the Language of the Gods, which is a combination of Campbell and Higher Contact. Symbols that address the spirit's evolution and present condition or level of advancement toward completion.
