Leaks?

Hi,

I have had the experience of putting together a tank in the past, and am now considering the CD plan as a good way to go.

One thing that mystifies me is, why anyone would choose to plumb the filter lines through the liner, rather than simply angling some tubing down into the water level. Maybe I am just ignorant about fluid dynamics, but it would seem to me to be the way to go.

my filtration goes over the edge not through the liner, I wouldn't want to cut holes if I didn't have to.
