Building my own
Hi,
My name is William and I’m a first time user. I have never floated before either but cannot wait until my first visit. I'm so looking forward to it.
I’m so glad I found this site.
I just started building my tank and my dimensions are 8x4x4, insulated on the outside with 2" insulation and rubber liner of 2mm.
My questions are for all the other items needed. From what I’ve read so far, here’s the information that I’ve gathered:
1. pump.
¾ to 1 HP pump, inground pool Hayward superpump.
first statement: 'Lifespan will be a little shorter, but parts can be cleaned and replaced.'
2nd statement: 'no! pump can not handle all the salt'
Artisan or Cascade salt water pump. more designed for salt water
2. waterbedheater.
Manual or digital? goes under rubber liner? put bubble cover over salt water when not in use, as to keep water warm? temperature at 94.6F?
3. purification system.
Use a spoonful of hydrogen peroxide once a week?
Is this the same as a UV sterilizer?
4. Epsom salt, about 6 to 800 pounds
Formula: 43.46 lbs/ft water. How is that done correctly?
Any supplier that's recommended?
Top off salt at rate of 44 lbs/60 sessions
Salt concentration, check with hydrometer every 60 sessions. What’s a good reading?
5. PH tester I already have
What’s the right number? Is PH the same as bromine level?
6. Thermometer
I already have also. and it's digital
7. conditioning chemicals needed?
This is all the information I have found so far in order to get started. How does it look? Could I get started with this or what else do I need or what changes do I need to make?
Thanking you all in advance,
Sincerely,
William Moore
